Discover Dixon invites all families, organizations, groups & businesses to participate in the annual Scarecrow Contest downtown!
Scarecrows are put up on downtown light posts and the surrounding area.
Your Scarecrow must be family friendly, and the name of the organization, family, group, or business must be displayed somewhere on the scarecrow. This is a great way to gain exposure!
Scarecrows can be put up the weekend of Oct. 12 to 14. Please do not put up your scarecrow before 8 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 12.
Judging is Thursday, Oct. 17, and scarecrows are to be taken down by Monday, Oct. 21. And lastly, please check your scarecrow daily to ensure that all parts are still attached, and the scarecrow is presentable. The weather does a number on the scarecrows.
Prizes will be awarded to the three most creative scarecrows! Be creative! Have FUN!
The form will appear (below) on this page at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. You will be able to fill out the form at that time. Please only fill out the form once your scarecrow/display is put up.
