Ultimate Tailgate Rib & Chili Cookoff Competitor Application

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024 in the Beanblossom Parking Lot

Important note: Your spot is not officially reserved until payment is received. 

Cook(s) participating in the Chili / Rib cookoff agree to the following:

  • Cook(s) may setup at 7 a.m. St. Louis style ribs will be provided and distributed at 7:30 a.m. during team meeting.
  • Cook(s) must bring own tent, tables, chairs, cooking supplies, ingredients, utensils, and cooking devices. Discover Dixon does not supply any equipment or electricity.
  • Do not store food, ice or paper products on ground.
  • Rib cook(s) must turn in 8 bone in ribs. Chili cook(s) must prepare a minimum of 16 quarts of chili. Turn in time for chili is 11 a.m. and for ribs is noon.
  • Hot food shall be maintained at 140 degrees Fahrenheit or above.
  • Cold food shall be maintained at 41 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
  • Hand washing stations will be provided.
  • No outside alcohol is allowed on site and will be enforced.
  • Rib Payout: $1000, $600, and $400! Chili Payout: Judges Choice, People’s Choice & Best Showmanship. Chili And Rib winners will be announced approximately 1:30 p.m.

Your competition entry can be paid via electronic invoice, check/cash sent to 87 S Hennepin Ave, ATTN Discover Dixon. Checks can be made out to Discover Dixon. Entry to the rib cookoff is $100 and the chili cookoff is $10.
